IBRAHIMOHOVIC DEAL UNLIKELY

Manchester United are unlikely to offer Zlatan Ibrahimovic a contract extension, according to Sky sources.

Manchester United are not expected to offer Zlatan Ibrahimovic a new contract when his current one expires on 30 June.
The Premier League's retained list is due to be released tomorrow.
If United have asked Ibrahmovic to stay at Old Trafford, it will be documented.
However, as the 35-year-old is months away from being able to play again after rupturing his knee ligaments in April, such a scenario is thought to be unlikely.
Ibrahimovic agreed a one-year deal, with an option for second season, last summer.

However, the option had not been triggered by the time the Swede suffered his season-ending injury and now there appears little point in United offering him a lucrative contract, knowing he would not be able to play for a significant proportion of it.
